According to the Zicam Class Action lawsuit, nearly 25 million of those goods were sold all over the country. The Zicam Class Action lawsuit was brought in January of last year by lead plaintiff Yesenia Melgar, who is a former Zicam distributor. She claims that she suffered pain and other physical ailments because of the improper use of Zicam. Among the Zicam Class Action lawsuit’s claims are that Zicam is dangerous, especially for pregnant women and kids.

Yesenia Melgar is seeking a claim for injuries she suffered from at her workplace in the city of Riviera Nayarit in Mexico. The claim says that her worked as an administrative assistant in the marketing department of Zicam and she developed the condition known as “Zicamide Syndrome.” This syndrome causes various body pains and other medical symptoms, such as vomiting, nausea, and high blood pressure. At the time of filing the lawsuit last year, Yesenia Melgar was earning about forty thousand annually as an administrative assistant in the Zicam Company’s Mexico Marketing department.

In a class action lawsuit, plaintiffs have the right to receive monetary settlements as their legal fees are covered by the company. Thus, the settlement money will be divided amongst the class members. However, there is no guarantee of receiving a monetary settlement because the company may reject your claim. There are several reasons why the company might decline your claim for Zicam. Some of the reasons are as follows:

The forms do not comply with federal and local labor laws. Because of this, the company has to send you a letter stating that you will not receive the full amount as stated in your Zicam claims filing. Furthermore, there is a time period between the filing of your lawsuit and the final approval of your settlement. If you want your Zicam lawsuit finalized fast, you have to file the claims form after sixty days from the date of the approval. This is one of the reasons why many plaintiffs choose to use the convenient claims form.

The claims become eligible for final approval after four years. This is also one of the reasons why many plaintiffs choose to file their action lawsuit immediately, before the deadline. Filing the lawsuit prior to the approval of the proposed settlement can delay the process, which will result to the loss of a lot of money and time. If you want to ensure that the proposed settlement goes through, it is important to file the lawsuit as soon as possible.

After four years, if the proposed settlement does not go through, then the case will be dismissed. But, what happens if the lawsuit goes through? The court will grant class members the right to join the lawsuit for a limited time. After this limited time, class members have the right to file an answer to the complaint and to pursue the case to the final approval. It is essential to remember that there are many class members who will not be allowed to join the lawsuit for the initial six months. And if the final approval of the settlement is delayed for any reason, all remaining members of the class will be able to join the lawsuit at the starting point of the six-month period.
